Child Labour

With the number of child laborers varying from 60 to 150 million, contrarians argue that sweating in the sun with a valuable option of employment is better than having nothing to eat. The truth also lies in the fact that the government has failed to protect and educate the most vulnerable group, children. No doubt, societies where children are exploited as labour should be looked down upon. But so should governments, which fail to ensure that poverty just does not exist! Simply banning child labour is ridiculous, unless the families of these children are provided subsistence wages and children are given education. What’s better? Begging, or working!
