The Indian car manufacturing industry has proved its mettle and all manufacturers, globally, have started showing interest in the Indian facilities. Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), recently released a Draft Plan aimed at transforming the Indian automotive industry into a global hub. If this plan is implemented, the turnover of the sector would reach $145 billion by 2016 from the current $34 billion. Phew!
