Whole Shopping Experience
There is an obviously apparent change in the whole shopping experience for the customer who has all along been buying his groceries and household utilities, standing across the counter at the local kirana store, mostly at the mercy of the shopkeeper to let him touch, feel and sample the products. The ambience of a mall gives this shopper a sense of liberation and independence. He is now allowed uninhibited access to touch, feel and sample. The sales people in uniform there are ready to assist him and they address him as ‘sir’. He is delighted, he feels liberated, and he is all prepared to shop more. And he is not shopping alone. He has his family with him.
